Since June this year, through strict selection and recommendation, TravelSky Airline Business Department won the title of "National Civilized Civil Aviation Unit".
The selection of National Civilized Civil Aviation Unit is part of series activities of Construction of Spiritual Civilization held by the Committee for the Construction of Spiritual Civilization, CAAC. It is held once every three years, and now is the highest honor in this field. It is firstly held in 2008, and the second one this year with 45 units in recognition. Airline Business Department is among one of them.
As the company's major business unit, Airline Business Department is responsible for the research, plan and promotion of its products. Currently, this department has in total 64 staff, including 44 Party members, 69% of the total. The department always attaches great importance to the construction of spiritual civilization.
Since 2003, Airlines Business Department, working with other departments, has been in close collaboration with IATA and domestic airlines to implement e-ticketing. By the end of 2008, it helped China civil aviation industry to get rid of paper tickets, being the first in the world to achieve 100% e-ticketing. It helps Air China, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and other airlines successfully join the global airline alliance, achieving real international standards for domestic airlines. By launching the airport check-in self-service, online and mobile check-in services, it helps more than 12% of all the passengers to finish check-in with self-service at the end of 2010.
That Airline Business Department won this title, which, on the one hand, reflects the CAAC’s care to TravelSky and this department, and on the other hand, shows the development of this department and its outstanding results in building a civilized unit.
We hope Airline Business Department can cherish this honor, continue to play an exemplary role in the future work, maintaining this title during the next review three years later.
